US leads the world in mobile web adoption
Neilsen reports that US leads the mobile web adoption. I have a little bit of a hard time beliving that. Mainly because there are many countries in Asia that have a far superior mobile network and their mobile web is much further ahead than the US’.
“The study, Critical Mass: The Worldwide State of the Mobile Web, found that there are 40 million mobile subscribers in the US. That is roughly 15% of the mobile population and enough for researchers to say that mobile adoption has reached critical mass in the US. The UK (12% penetration) and Italy (11% penetration) were the closest competitors.”
I think that if they look purely at people having a mobile web capable phone that is one thing as well. Usage is a completely different thing. I find it very interesting.
